Back from Tech Hell

Bosch
You may have noticed several delays and glitches in the display of Lines and Colors in the last couple of weeks (or longer), as I’ve struggled with a number of technical issues behind the scenes.

Hopefully, they are now resolved.

There is a new design in place; it’s a bit rough and incomplete at the moment, but I’ll be refining it as I go on.

Meanwhile, I can get back to writing posts (sigh).

  1. Wow, am I really the first to get in a comment on your new design?
I like the changes Charley and a nice choice for the image on this post.
I can enjoy Bosch from afar. I would not want to have to walk through that painting as you must have.
    Cheers to moving forward.

  2. Charley, You’ve probably noticed that many of your site images are now compressed horizontally. I’m sure it’s on your to-do list!

Many thanks for Lines and Colors. It’s always a vital art boost for me.

  3. New format looks great (although I had no issue with the previous one), but I will second the observation about some of the images being compressed horizontally. I looked through several back pages to confirm (I was in the pp 150 range). Also, many of the taller images require excessive scrolling, which I don’t recall being an issue in the old format, but I notice it now…. Taken with the first issue, it may be that the column width might be disproportionate to the page width (in my non-techno speak). I am only looking at this on an iPad; I’ll look at it on my work desktop tomorrow.

  4. Thank you for your willingness to work through all of these issues to bring us your fabulous blog. I’ve learned so much here and look forward to whats to come.
