Justin Gerard’s Silmarillion at Gallery Nucleus

Justin Gerard's Silmarillion ast Gallery Nucleus
The wonderful fantasy art of Justin Gerard, who I have written about previously, is on display this month at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, California, as part of an exhibition dedicated to his visual interpretation of J. R. R. Tolken’s The Silmarillion.

The show features numerous watercolors and drawings. You can also find a selection of Gerard’s other work on the gallery’s website, in addition to on his own website and blog. On the blog you will find some larger images of the Silmarillion pieces.

Justin Gerard’s The Silmarillion will be on display until May 6, 2012.

  1. I have very much enjoyed seeing Justin’s work via the Muddy Colors blog. Especially when Donato has been doing his JRR Tolkien work at the same time. It’s really cool to see two artist explore the same place[Middle Earth] and end up with such different perspectives, yet both be able to achieve such stellar results. A Justin Gerard sketchbook is on my book wish list this year. I love his pencil work.

As always, thanks Charlie for doing what you do at Lines and Colors.

  2. So excited to be meeting Justin this coming weekend. He’s one of the teachers at an art seminar I’ve organized here in Stockholm. I can only hope that he brings some of these paintings stashed in his luggage…

And yes, your efforts are always appreciated, Charlie!
