Eye Candy for Today: Thaulow’s river

I just love the way Thaulow handles the depiction of water, particularly the surface of small streams. I can’t think of anyone who does it better.

  2. Nice to see the closeup. This guy’s paintings are a marvel to see up close, super interesting technically. He does remarkable patterns in water- and snow, as well.
