    Thanks for posting this one. He’s one of may all time favorites, and you probably already know that wikipaintings.org has quite a good collection of his work, meriting your “major time sink” designation.

    Thanks. Yes, the Wikipaintings selection, and others that have appeared since my post about him back in 2007, have put Shishkin back on my list for an update post in the not too distant future.
