A city frozen in time. It appears that some of the rich people who lived there were Africans. Winifred Mary Beard, professor of Classics, knows all about Pompeii’s history. Pompeii is still there to visit and see the ‘naughty’ frescoes.
Thanks, Aelle. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting both Pompeii and Naples, where much of the art and artifacts recovered from Pompeii are on display, including beautiful mosaics and more erotic art, in which the residents of Pompeii apparently took great pleasure.
