Anatoly Korobkin studied at the Krasnodar Art College and The Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture; and has subsequently taught at the latter school as well as the Moscow School of Watercolor Andriaka.
Korobkin has a richly painterly style, with free brush work applied over a foundation of firm classical draftsmanship.
Korobkin is married to painter Diana Korobkina, and they share a website. The navigation is somewhat awkward, but if you look in the column under “Anatoly Korobkin” you’ll find links to sections for landscape, portraits, figures, still life and more.
I particularly enjoy his landscapes and cityscapes, in which he emphasizes contrasts of light, texture and atmosphere.
