A Cowherd at Valhermeil, Auvers-sur-Oise by Camille Pissarro.
One of my favorite landscapes by an under-appreciated master of Impressionism. The texture and brushwork are just beautiful.

To be honest, I’ve always preferred the work of Pissarro and Sisley to the other, more ‘flashy’ impressionists (‘flashy’ here being a very relative term). Likewise the lovely work of Berthe Morisot.
Of these, Pissarro is the most satisfying though.
This is a beautiful piece.
